Margaret (Ann) Britt Coleman

January 31, 1949 ~ October 13, 2022 (age 73)

Margaret (Ann) Britt Coleman, age 73, of Delco, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Duke University Medical Center with her family by her side.  She was born in Chadbourn, NC on January 31, 1949 to the late Woodrow Britt and Margaret Graham Britt.

Ann taught in Columbus County Schools for 32 years. Most of those years she taught Home Economics.  She was a devout Christian.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband; Jimmy Coleman of the home, two sons; Chad Coleman (Amber) of Whiteville and Jason Coleman of San Diego, CA, three brothers; Graham Britt of Whiteville and David Britt and Jeff Britt both of Chadbourn, and three grandchildren; Caitlin Gore, Brycen (Bubba) Coleman and Colbie Coleman.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at 3:00 pm at East Columbus High School Auditorium, 32 Gator Lane, Lake Waccamaw, NC with Rev. Darryll Hester officiating.  Burial will follow in Delco Cemetery, Delco, NC.  The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Saturday, October 15, 2022 at McKenzie Mortuary.
