Arson is thought to be the cause of a wildfire that destroyed a truck and some woodland Aug. 13.
The sheriff’s office said deputies were called to 291 Laura’s Lane on the Game Lands. A truck was also in flames when they arrived. The property has a Clarkton address but is in Columbus County.
The N.C. Forest Service and sheriff’s office are investigating.
