Two suspects have been jailed in the January slaying of a teenage girl in China Grove.

Armani Darrell Mason, 27, and Tony Larrell Mason, 20, are being held under no bond, charged in the first degree murder of Autumn Spivey. They were taken into custody Thursday just before midnight.
The teen was killed during a drive-by shooting on a home near Chadbourn, the sheriff’s office said. She was not the intended target.
Miss Spivey, 16, was shot to death in her bed at 2013 Stake Road in January. Two deputies arrived on the scene in minutes of that drive-by and performed CPR on the teen, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four other people were in the home at the time. Miss Spivey had been staying at the home with relatives for an extended period of time when the killing occurred, according to another relative. Sources close to the investigation say Autumn was not the intended target. Sheriff Bill Rogers at the time said investigators were stymied from a lack of cooperation in the case.
Both men are due in court for a first appearance later today.
This is a developing story.
