Tornado Watch for Columbus Area

Tornado Watch infographic
A tornado watch is in effect for the entire region (NWS graphic).

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for our area through 8 p.m.

Conditions are good for a spinup or isolated tornado to form this afternoon and evening as a front moves off the coast.

The area is also still under a moderate risk of thunderstorms.

A tornado watch means atmospheric conditions are favorable for tornadic development. A warning means a tornado has been confirmed.

Monitor the National Weather Service on your mobile device or your weather radio for updates.
