• West Columbus High School FFA always hosts one of the biggest turkey shoots around. Proceeds go to the FFA, and they even have a kids contest. There’s food and fun for the whole family. It’s held at Caines Farm near Chadbourn, every Friday and Saturday.
• Old Dock Cypress Creek Fire Department on New Britton Highway (NC 130) will holds its turkey shoot November 6,7, 13,14, 20,21 and November 23 thru the 25. Starting time is 7 p.m. The shoot will be held beside the fire station.
• The 701 South Turkey Shoot starts Nov. 6 and will run every Friday and Saturday night in November. It’s located at 7971 U.S. 701 south of Whiteville.
• Tabor City Fire Department will hold their annual shoots Nov. 20-25. It won’t be held Sunday, Nov. 22. The range is beside Adam’s Seafood on U.S. 701.
• Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department holds its turkey shoot every Friday and Saturday night through Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. The event features a variety of prizes. Kids shoots are also held weekly.
• Abundant Life Church of Whiteville is holding their turkey shoot Friday and Saturday starting at 7 p.m.
