Problems at four precincts across the state led the State Board of elections to leave those polls open for extra time tonight, delaying the first release of results until 8:15 p.m.
None of the affected precincts were in Columbus County, according to the State BoE. One was in Concord, two in Sampson County, and one in Greensboro. Problems ranged from a malfunctioning printer to a chief judge who arrived late, the BoE said.
Columbuscountynews.com and WTXY will be broadcasting results via Facebook and at 103.9 throughout the evening.
