Letter to the editor
To the editor,
As a combat wounded veteran of 20 years, I cannot believe that the President has not presented better plans for withdrawal (from Afghanistan). Plans that would have allowed him to withdraw without leaving Americans, friends and equipment to the enemy.
His decisions are going to be disastrous for many and have effects for the long term. Other nations are already complaining about how he chose to do this and how he failed to coordinate with them.
He has reduced our standing in world opinion. I pray he will listen to and receive better advice.
