A non-profit organization is putting out the call to those in need.
The Southeastern Community Action Partnership has been serving families in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Hoke, Pender, Robeson, and Scotland counties since 1964. Their newest mission is to help individuals and their families who have been financially impacted by COVID-19 through assistance for overdue bills including utilities, rent, and mortgage.
When preparing for your appointment the organization asks that you bring:
• valid ID
• Social Security numbers for everyone in the household
• proof of income for the last 90 days for everyone in the household over the age of 18
• for rental assistance: copy of lease, statement of amount owed, proof of ownership, and W-9.
• for utility assistance: copy of statement
For mortgage assistance: copy of mortgage statement
