A number of area employers set up at Vineland Station today for a hiring event sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to entry level positions, several area companies were seeking employees for career opportunities. Whiteville Police and Fire departments were on hand, along with Frasier Ltd. of Riegelwood, WTXY/Columbuscountynews.com, Columbus Regional and other companies.
Traffic through the event was steady as area jobseekers checked out what was being offered.
