The six month old baby airlifted after a crash near Chadbourn has died.
King Matthew Jaron Frink was identified as the third death from the headon collision. Baby King’s mother, Angela Shipman, and Jarvis McKinnon also died in the wreck. The crash happened Feb. 11.
The Highway Patrol said Shipman crossed the center line into the path of a tractor trailer after running off the right of N.C. 410. The condition of the fourth passenger was not immediately available.
The child was airlifted to UNC Hospitals from Columbus Regional, and passed away Sunday.
Baby King is the fifth person to die on county roads this year.
Shipman, McKinnon and Baby King will be eulogized today.
