Chadbourn Police Officer Johnathan Driggers entered the burning wreckage of the Budget Inn to save a man this morning.
Mayor Phillip Britt said Driggers saved the victim of the explosion and fire. Britt and his wife, Councilwoman Shannon Britt, treated the man while rescue was en route.
Driggers got the badly burned man to safety, then assisted in fighting the fire.
