3:30 p.m. Update
Two women were killed and a teenager seriously injured after a crash near Tabor City this morning (Wednesday).
Teva Marie Norris, 44, and Taunya Norris, 64, both of the Tabor City area, died when Jacob Creech crossed the centerline around 7:18 a.m. Redwine said the women were traveling north on U.S. 701 near F.M. Watts and Creech was headed south when the crash occurred.
Both Teva Norris’ Chevrolet Silverado and Creech’s Hyundai Santa Fe were demolished. Creech, 18, was transported to Grand Strand Medical Center by helicopter.
The daughter and mother became the 15th and 16th highway deaths on county roads this year.
