One Stop Sites, Early Voting Dates Set

Columbus County voters will have five early voting sites to choose from during the runup to the Nov. 8 general election.

A big change in the early voting schedule this year is the addition of Sunday voting. The Board of Elections opted to have one each Saturday and Sunday poll this year.

Any registered voter can vote at any poll during the early voting period. On Election Day, voters must go to their registered polling place, or submit a provisional ballot.

Early voting sites this year are

• Columbus County Board of Elections, 2586 James B. White Hwy. N., Whiteville

• Chadbourn Municipal Annex, 208 First Avenue, Chadbourn

• South Williams (Tabor City courthouse), 110 W. Fourth St., Tabor City

• Ransom Event Center, 2696 Gen. Howe Hwy., Riegelwood

• Cherry Bluff (Fair Bluff Fire Station), 152 Main St., Fair Bluff.

Voting hours will be 8 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. weekdays, 1 until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, and 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5.
