The Columbus County Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics still came through Whiteville on Friday despite the rainfall. The dedicated team carrying the torch left Columbus Correction Institution at 8 a.m. on May 19 and arrived at approximately 10 a.m. on South Madison Street.
