The New Tabor City School is open for business.

The county school board and County commissioners were joined by Rep. Brenden Jones and other dignitaries this morning to cut the ribbon on the new $30 million facility.

The school will house more than 400 students beginning Monday.

The school is designed to meet anticipated growth in the southern part of the county, as well as changes in technology. The new home of the Tabor Colts doesn’t skimp on tradition and aesthetics: a special courtyard using columns from the old Tabor School honors alumni and teachers from the town’s previous schools.
