UPDATED
Two suspects are sought after two people were shot at a home on Georgia Pacific Road near Whiteville Monday.
The male victim was transported to New Hanover Regional with five gunshot wounds.
Davion Jabias Frink, 23, and his mother, Delana Rae Shipman, 40, both of 2586 Georgia Pacific Road, were shot just before noon, according to the sheriff’s office report. The report did not specify what kind of firearm was used.
The sheriff’s office reported that two male suspects rushed into the home and began shooting. Shipman was hit in the leg, and Frink sustained five wounds.
Frink was rushed to New Hanover Regional for treatment. Shipman was treated at Columbus Regional.
The investigation is continuing.
