Two area organizations are coordinating an ongoing coat drive to help the needy in Columbus County.
Whiteville Alliance Church and Volunteers of America are accepting new and gently used coats through Jan. 18. Coats can be dropped off at the VoA office at 108 Memory Plaza Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Whiteville Alliance Church, 623 Warrior Trail, from 4-6 p.m. There’s also a drop box at Whiteville Alliance.
