Parents will have three chances to tell officials their views on county schools as well as find out about future plans for the system.
Columbus county Schools will host three Community Cafes later this month. Asst. Superintendent Kelly Jones said the meetings are designed to “connect with families, share concerns and build relationships” between families and the schools.
The meetings will be held at 7 p.m. East Columbus Junior-Senior High will be the location of the first café Nov. 27, followed by West Columbus High on Nov. 28 and South Columbus High on Dec. 4.
While the meetings are held at high schools, they are open to parents and families of all grade levels. Refreshments, interpreters and childcare will be available.
“Information from these discussions will be used to help the district improve the school system,” Jones said.
