An annual tradition that helps children gets underway in Columbus County Thursday and Friday.
The annual Shriner’s Fish Fry will be held at Riegelwood on Thursday, and in Whiteville Friday. Plates are $10, and include fish filet and sides. All proceeds go to the Shriner’s local charity projects.
On Thursday, plates will be available starting at 11 a.m. on N.C. 87 across from the entrance to International Paper. On Friday, Shriners will be cooking and handing out plates beside DD Cox Insurance, near Tractor Supply in Whiteville.
