N.C. 242 between Williamson’s Crossroads and Cerro Gordo is currently closed due to an obstruction.
Crews are clearing debris from the roadway, and are expected to be finished by around 2:45 p.m.
Parts of Madison Street in Whiteville remain closed. The Soules Swamp Bridge is open, but caution is urged. Frazier, Lee, parts of Franklin and Commerce streets are blocked in several locations due to flooding.
