A Delco girl was allegedly bound and gagged before being raped by a Winnabow man, according to the sheriff’s office and warrants.
James Kirk Harrelson, 39, is being held under $150,000 secured bond on two charges of taking indecent liberties with a minor and first degree kidnapping. His address was listed on court documents as 1330 Lord’s Branch Rd., Winnabow.
The victim in the case was 12 at the time of the assault, according to warrants. The incident reportedly occurred Jan. 1, 2021, in Delco.
A press release from the sheriff’s office said detectives were recently contacted by the Department of Social Services regarding the kidnapping and assault. Warrants were obtained Feb. 15, and Brunswick County deputies arrested Harrelson Feb. 19.
