Linda Gale Burroughs Inman, followed her husband, Larry, into the gates of heaven, on February 28, 2024, two days after he passed. For 50 years of marriage, they were committed to their vows, in sickness and health, and that carried them through trials and triumphs, and now even in death, they are united.
Linda is survived by her loving sister, Carol Kisiah. Born in Loris, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Claude Burroughs and Elsie Mae Mills. She was survived by many extended family members: Kathren Kohler (Mark) of Savannah, GA, Craig Inman (Carla) of Whiteville, NC, Chris McPherson (Joey) of Beaverdam, NC, Stephanie Hadley (deceased), and seven grandchildren – Jennifer Inman (William), Brittney Kohler (Nate), Ashley Cobb (Carson), Sunni McPherson, Jessie Faulk (Zach), Cassie Giacone (John), and Justin McPherson (Karlie), as well as 10 great grandchildren.
Linda was happiest with her tennis friends, outside enjoying the sunshine and planting a beautiful landscape of color and vegetables. She enjoyed volunteering, singing at her mother’s nursing home, as well as working with a local children’s literacy program. Linda battled cancer valiantly and gracefully, but she had great hope in Jesus Christ and was thankful for every day of life He gave her. Linda and Larry were members of Highest Praise Church in Shallotte, North Carolina.
We will be honoring Linda‘s life along with her husband, Larry, with a celebration of life on Monday, March 4, at 11:00 AM at Shallotte Point.
The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff of Liberty Hospice and Karen Eason, the hospice nurse, for their loving care throughout this time of need. We would also like to thank Liberty Homecare for their many years of service to Linda. Our gratitude cannot be greater for Michelle Wells, Linda’s personal care giver and friend for her time, attention, and devotion to her care.
