Thieves Target Firearms

A small gun

Multiple county residents reported the theft of firearms in recent days, according to the sheriffโ€™s office.

Patricia and John Edge contacted the sheriffโ€™s office March 28 after discovering two handguns missing from their home on Happy Homes Church Road. The .380 Glock and .38 Smith and Wesson were valued at a total of $1,000.

Dulla Lee Gerald of Wright Road, Tabor City, called the sheriffโ€™s office March 29 after discovering the theft of her .38 revolver. The handgun was valued at $200.

A Browning shotgun was reported missing from Ice Plant Road Fair Bluff address Friday. Plan Elvington Jr. told deputies the Browning was valued at around $150.
