Bulletholes Found in Transformer

A power outage may or may not have been caused by someone shooting a transformer Friday.

Brunswick Electric Membership crews contacted the sheriff’s department after responding to a power outage at 17509 Peacock Road, according to a sheriff’s report. They discovered multiple bulletholes in the transformer and power pole.

Deputies inspected the damage using binoculars, but the report said the holes “appeared to be old.” The report also noted that no shell casings were located in the area.
