A water line break near Hallsboro has led to a boil advisory for a small number of residents.
The break occurred at the Lakeland Village subdivision, near the intersection of Sam Potts Highway and Honey Hill Road, according to a release from the county water department. Customers in the areas of Lakeland Circle, Honey Hill Drive and Honey Hill Road will see pressure loss and discoloration while repairs are being made.
All users in the affected area are encouraged to boil any water intended for consumption for at least one minute, or use bottled water.
The county will notify customers when the water has tested safe.
