Marjorie Anne Barnes Pridgen, 82, of Whiteville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 31, 2024, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
Marjorie was born on September 23, 1941, daughter of the late Curtis A. Barnes and Blanche Anderson Barnes. She was also preceded in death by her son, Timothy “Timm” Dale Pridgen; siblings, William Curtis Barnes, Roger Barnes, Wallace Barnes, Ruby Lee Martin, Frances B. Bostic, and Helen B. Collins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Western Prong Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The visitation will be from 2:00-2:45 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service at the church.
Marjorie was a faithful member of Western Prong Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and a lover of flowers.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Donald Jerry Pridgen, Sr; children, Tricia Bowen (Albert), Donald Jerry Pridgen, Jr. (Amy) of Chadbourn and Jeff Pridgen (Pam) of Whiteville; grandchildren, Colby Pridgen (Lara), Kayla Gooden (Nathan), Marci-Anna Pouncey (Timmy), Katelyn Pridgen, Alice Parker (Cameron), Chayton Pridgen, Lakin Jarvis (Grayson), Dawson Pridgen; great-grandchildren, Camden Pridgen, Bentley Pridgen, Asher Jarvis, Eli Sanders; fur-baby, Lucas, and may other bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
