Lance Arrington Sandlin IV has been charged with murder of a woman who has been missing since May.
Sandlin, 47, was arrested this evening and booked just before 8 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office.
Perry’s body has not been found, but Sheriff Bill Rogers said in a press release that deputies are searching new areas tonight. Deputies, the State Bureau of Investigation and volunteers have spent hundreds of man hours looking for the Delco woman, who vanished while walking down Delco Property Road near her home.
Perry was pregnant at the time she vanished, and left behind a young daughter.
This is an ongoing investigation. Authorities believe that multiple individuals may have been involved in Shanna Perry’s disappearance. Additional arrests are possible.
“The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office remains steadfast in its commitment to finding Shanna and bringing justice to her family,” Rogers said in the press release.
