A man narrowly escaped injury after he was robbed at gunpoint and reportedly shot at Wednesday.
The victim, Kelly Delane Mills, said a man he knows assaulted him and took $695 from Mills on Pine Circle Road, Tabor City. Mills called 911 around 1 p.m., according to a report by Dep. C. Wilson.
Mills told investigators the suspect took his money and shot at him with a rifle as he fled. The report note that Mills later changed the location of the alleged assault.
The robbery is under investigation.
