Former Worker Charged in Shoplifting

Three people, including a former employee, have been charged with shoplifting form the Bolton Dollar General store.

Naudia Pyatt and her brother Jaylen Pyatt were charged with misdemeanor larceny in the Dec. 13 case. Jaylen Pyatt’s girlfriend Taleesha Bryant was charged with aiding and abetting.

Deputy C. Weaver reported that he responded to the store at N.C. 214 and N.C. 211 to investigate a report of shoplifting. A worker at the store, Mitchell Hewett, identified the three suspects. Surveillance footage showed the three removing a number of items from the shelves and leaving without paying, the report said. Bryan later brought several items back and admitted to the theft, the report said.
