Temperatures, Bitterly Cold

Meteorological winter came in with a bang this weekend, as temperatures have dropped to January normals throughout the area. CCN Meteorologist Christopher Cawley is expecting temperatures to dive into 20s here tonight. Make sure you protect those pets, plants and pipes.

Temperatures will still be bitterly cold through Wednesday, so make sure the kids are properly dressed for the bus stop.

Facts of Life Church opened a warming station in Whiteville. The station will remain open from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. through Wednesday.
If you have contact with homeless persons, or know of anyone in need, the shelter is available in the metal activity building at Facts of Life, 506 Lee St., Whiteville.
