Tabor City and Whiteville had their big Christmas events last week.
Winners in the Tabor City Chamber decorating contest were The Todd House, Ooh La La boutique, and Consumer’s Choice Insurance. Ron and Kiki Jarmuth won the residential category.
In Whiteville, my buddy Priscilla went all out, as always, winning the top prize for Sugar and Spice Dancewear in the downtown decorating contest. Kenwood Royal’s Christmas decorations have been famous for 50-plus years, and he was recognized for his decorations this year.
For the parade entries, Simply Dance won best in show. Jess Hill and the clerk of courts office staff won for Most Creative for their “Don’t Stop Believing in Christmas” themed float.
