Kyla Mae Benton has been discharged from UNC Children’s Hospital. The five year old girl was seriously injured Jan. 6 in a head-on collision that killed her mother, Misty Cribb.
Irvin Emanuel Nunez, 31, of 357 Honey Hill Rd., Hallsboro, was arrested Feb. 11 on charges of possession of methamphetamine and felony larceny. He faces additional charges of felony and misdemeanor larceny, and more warrants could be pending.
During its business meeting on Feb. 6, the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission voted to notice a temporary rule that would close the recreational harvest of spotted seatrout in inland and joint (by hook-and-line) fishing waters from May 1 through June 15.
