SBI Calls Johnson Death Homicide

Ervin Hakeem “Ervianna” Johnson was murdered, according to the State Bureau of Investigation.
Johnson, 25, disappeared from his Bermuda Bay home near Tabor City Feb. 13. His body was found Feb. 18 by a family member who was searching for Johnson. The body was found near a pond several hundred yards from the home.
Chad Flowers of the SBI said this morning that Johnson’s preliminary autopsy results indicated that the death was not by suicide. The SBI did not release a cause of death.
The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office asked for public assistance in the search for Johnson on Feb. 17, when his mother reported him missing. Johnson was last seen going outside his home at around 3 a.m. Johnson was not carrying a phone, wallet or bank cards.
Johnson was a practicing homosexual and regularly wore women’s clothing, according to the missing person’s report. Photos on Johnson’s social media page show him in heavy makeup, jewelry and female clothing. He identified as female on social media, using the names Ervianna and Baydee. The SBI and the sheriff’s office said the investigation is continuing.
