Misdemeanor and felony larceny charges have been filed against a Honey Hill man after an extensive investigation by the sheriff’s office.

Irvin Emanuel Nunez, 31, of 357 Honey Hill Rd., Hallsboro, was arrested Feb. 11 on charges of possession of methamphetamine and felony larceny. He faces additional charges of felony and misdemeanor larceny, and more warrants could be pending. He was held without bond, since he had already been released on bond from previous charges.

Nunez alleged committed a series of thefts in Hallsboro and Sellerstown. When he was arrested, he had a quantity of crystal methamphetamine in his pocket, a press release from the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office issued a press release on Valentine’s Day, noting that “while some folks are out delivering flowers and chocolates today, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office was busy delivering justice.

“At the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, we believe in spreading love, not crime,” the sheriff’s office said, “and we remain committed to holding offenders accountable. If you have any information about thefts in our community, please contact the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 642-6551.”
