The City of Whiteville deserves a pat on the back for the spring cleaning taking place at the city’s entryways. Of special note is the entry on Jefferson Street at White Marsh. The welcome sign was almost obscured by trees and brush. Crews have been clearing the area this week, making one the busiest routes into town look so much better.
We always say those little touches can make all the difference in a town’s future. You never know when the random traveler is planning to put down roots, whether for a new home or a business that creates jobs.
Kudos to the folks with Whiteville Public Works for all they do trying to keep the city looking nice.
