Donations Needed for Nicaragua Mission

A mission team from the Columbus Baptist Association is headed back to Nicaragua in June, and organizers are seeking donations of supplies to be handed out by the group.
Hard candy, bubbles, coloring books, water-based kid’s tattoos, child-safe blunt scissors, and jump ropes are among the most requested items for children. Inflatable beach balls, frisbees, fingernail polish, beads and strings for bracelets are also sought.
The team is also asking for glucose test strips and glucometers, kitchen utensils such as knives, ladles, and cutting mats, and long handled wooden stirrers.
The deadline is June 10. Donations can be dropped off at the CBA office, 208 S. Thompson St., Whiteville. Large donations can be picked up. Call 910.642.2155 for more information.
