North Carolina Closer to Becoming a Constitutional Carry State

North Carolina is closer than ever to having a constitutional carry law. The senate passed its version of a bill that would not require a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

The house version has advanced to the rules committee and could see a vote in the near future. Governor Josh Stein is expected to veto the bill, but observers think there will be enough votes to override that veto.

More than half the states allow constitutional carry of firearms by legal gunowners.
