Jacobs Resigns as Finance Officer

County Finance Officer Lacey Jacobs resigned abruptly this afternoon (Tuesday).
County Manager Eddie Madden confirmed that Jacobs handed in her resignation at 3:40 p.m. details about her exit were not available. An interim director has not been named.
Jacobs stunned commissioners after asking for a $5.5 million budget amendment, including more than $3 million for the sheriff’s office. The request was made after the fiscal 24 budget was passed.
