Hurricane Helene may not have done much here, but it smashed communities in the North Carolina mountains. All this week we have been sharing opportunities for you to donate, and in the coming days we’ll provide contacts for you to get more hands on if you can. Remember, do not self-deploy. Conditions are still unimaginable in the North Carolina mountains.

One way you can help Saturday, Oct. 5,is by volunteering at the packing party taking place in the old Ford dealership on Madison Street in Whiteville. Volunteers are needed from 8 until 3 to help prepare relief supplies for shipment out west.
