The victim of an alleged child abduction was returned minutes after the 911 call, and deputies are working to uncover more leads.
Chief Deputy Aaron Herring of the sheriff’s office said the 12 year old female victim was reported missing June 1 around 5:18 p.m. The alleged kidnapper was described as a white male with gray hair, standing six feet tall and weighing 200 pounds.
She returned safely home a short time after the 911 call. No one was injured, Herring said.
The sheriff’s office is canvassing the area along Bill Hooks Road where the abduction was reported, Herring said. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call 642.6551.
