The Waccamaw Siouan Heritage Celebration, a free event on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences at Whiteville!
Watch a beautiful opening ceremony, hear from tribal leaders, enjoy traditional dance demonstrations and more. The event is free to attend and vendors will sell jewelry, art and crafts.
The Waccamaw Siouan Tribe is one of eight tribal communities recognized by the State of NC. This annual celebration honors rich traditions and cultures in southeastern North Carolina and is presented in partnership with the Waccamaw Siouan Tribe and the Columbus County Arts Council.
