Deputies arrested an impaired, naked man Oct. 5 who said he was being bitten by snakes. Troy Edward Adkins, 54, of 99 McKeithan Dr., Whiteville, was charged with misdemeanor indecent exposure, and intoxicated and disruptive. He was also charged with an unrelated speeding ticket from Chadbourn Police. His bond was set at $500. The sheriff’s report said deputies were called to Seven Creeks Highway just after 5 a.m....
