Drugs and paraphernalia were allegedly found in a Clarkton man’s car after he briefly fled from deputies Aug. 14, according to the sheriff’s office.
Kameron Blake Quattlebaum, 21, of 69 Sabels Run Trail, Clarkton, was jailed under a $2,500 bond after he was charged with possession of MDMA and marijuana, and paraphernalia, jail reports show.
Deputies reported that they observed Quattlebaum driving erratically on U.S. 701 North in Whiteville, then saw him run onto a curb before accelerating to at least 15 miles over the speed limit. They executed a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Hardee’s restaurant at Washington Street and Powell Boulevard, and during subsequent search of the vehicle, found the contraband. The vehicle was towed.
