A Gillard Road woman was jailed Wednesday on multiple narcotics charges, according to the sheriff’s office.

Complaints from the community led the sheriff’s office to conduct surveillance on Jacqueline Gray Spivey, 63, of 241 Gillard Rd., Chadbourn. An undercover operative made a successful controlled buy at the residence.

Officers raided the home in the early morning hours of Wednesday, and seized a .380 handgun, paraphernalia, $2,000 cash and a variety of narcotics, including Tramadol hydrochloride tablets, Buprenorphine tablets, Suboxone strips, Lyrica capsules, Oxycodone hydrochloride tablets and Fentanyl patches.

Sheriff Jody Greene thanked the members of the community who provided information about the case.
