Southeastern hospital offers vaccines

Southeastern Regional officially joined the UNC System Thursday.

UNC Southeastern UNC Health Southeastern is now scheduling appointments for COVID-19 vaccinations for individuals ages 65 and older.

The Lumberton hospital made the announcement Thursday shortly after Gov. Roy Cooper lowered the age limit in an attempt to increase vaccinations statewide.

Individuals ages 65 and older who are residents of North Carolina may call (910) 671-5395 to schedule appointments to receive their vaccination at the Southeastern COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic located at 2901 N. Elm Street, Lumberton. The clinic is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

UNC Health Southeastern is opening a second vaccination clinic in Pembroke on Monday, January 18. Southeastern COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Pembroke is located at 5103 Candy Park Way. Although the clinic will open on Monday, January 18, normal operating hours will be Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The phone number to schedule a vaccination appointment in Pembroke is (910) 671-5193.

Due to extremely high call volumes, individuals may also request appointments by emailing their name, date of birth and phone number to vaccine@srmc.org.

Patients will need to bring their insurance card and a state issued identification card such as a driver’s license. Registrars will assist patients with registration requirements by NCDHHS at check-in so patients should arrive at least 20 minutes before their scheduled appointment for processing. Patients are reminded to wear masks and practice social distancing.
