An early morning car crash on Hallsboro Road left two people dead Sunday.
The Highway Patrol reported that Tomeka Bradford and James Strickland were killed when a Mercedes automobile driven by Bradford blew a tire. The crash occurred near Whitehall Road shortly before 5 a.m., according to Trooper B. Reeves of the Patrol.
The crash was the second fatal crash of the year, and the second within a week. One man died in a crash on N.C. 410 near Chadbourn Thursday.
