Richard C. Smith, age 64 of Chadbourn, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.
Ricky attended West Columbus High School in Cerro Gordo, His passions were dancing, playing the drums, and the Funeral Industry. He also had a true love for the Lord, his family and his community.
A walk-through viewing will be held from 1:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at D&A Funeral Services Chapel, 212 South Wilkes Street, Chadbourn.
Ricky was the son of Frances S. Marino of Orlando, Florida and the late Johnny A. Green. He was reared by his grandmother and grandfather, Bernice and John Henry Gore.
He is survived by two children; Brittney S. Campbell and Richard C. Smith Jr. of Chadbourn, mother; grandchildren Janarion Campbell, Davjavon Campbell, Jaceion Campbell, and Jden Campbell all of Chadbourn; mother Frances S. Marino; aunt Kathleen Smith of Brooklyn, NY; sisters; Lisa Bennett-Gomez husband Fernando Gomez of Bronx, NY, and Faith White of Hempstead, NY; brothers; Joseph S. Marino of Brooklyn N.Y. and Jeffrey S. Marino of Orlando, FL; nieces Shana Bennett and Samantha Gomez; Nephews Andre White, Michael White and Jordan Smith; extended family Lataizma Crawford, Eynia Smith, Tyson Washington, Ouadre Crawford, Peggy Frink, William L. and Margaret Davis, Marion A. Davis, Preston Williams, and Maria Bridge.
Ricky was preceded in death by his sister Joyce Smith and grandparents Bernice and Henry Gore.
