The operator of a personal watercraft sustained only minor injuries at Lake Waccamaw Sunday when he struck a dock.
The incident occurred 2:37 p.m. in the 2005 block of Waccamaw Shores.
Wildlife Enforcement Officer Dern Crilley said the male was riding the jet-ski “in a reckless manner” when he struck a pier. The PWC damaged a set of steps and the structure of the pier, Crilley said.
The man, who is from Conway, S.C., injured his hand in the crash.
Lake Waccamaw Fire and Rescue and the Wildlife Resources Commission responded to the scene.
