Offense is turning out to be the name of the game in area football action this season, and all area teams are firing up their defense before this week’s matchups,
West Columbus is on the road to East Bladen. The Vikings are standing at 3-0 in the conference, 6-1 for the season, while the Eagles are 4-0 in the Waccamaw 1A/2A conference and 5-3 overall.

Whiteville punished East Columbus, 64-0 in last week’s play. The Pack is 5-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
The East Columbus Gators, with a 1-3 conference record and 2-6 for the season, have an off week. They’ll return to the playing field Oct. 20 in Rocky Point, going up against Heide Trask.
