January 22, 1943 ~ December 1, 2023 (age 80)
Jerry Edward Williamson, 80, of Gastonia NC passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 22, 1943 in Mecklenburg County to the late Harvey Edward Williamson and Sara Ida Douglas Williamson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Doris Williamson Moore and brother in law, James E. Moore, Jr.
Jerry was the owner of Gastonia Avionics for many years. Later he repaired many radios and computers. Loved anything concerning airplanes and electronics. He was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Charlotte
He is survived by his nephew, Darrin Moore and niece, Angela Sullivan (Larry), two great nephews, Cory and Samuel Moore, cousin, Dennis Baker, who visited him regularly, as well as many other cousins, friends, Michael Atherton and Bob who looked after him.
The family would like to thank the staff of Highland Heights at Gastonia for the great care given to Jerry.
